At
the
start
of
our
trek
on
the
first
day.
I
knew
we
might
have
to
march
for
several
hours,
through
very
uncomfortable
territory,
but
I
put
on a
brave
face!!
As
things
transpired,
on
the
first
day
the
gorillas
were
extraordinarily
close
to
camp,
and
we
came
upon
them
after
only
half
an
hour
or
so
of
easy
walking!!
And
they
were
out
in
the
open,
so
we
could
see
them
perfectly.
