The action heats up as they hunt down and fight the vampaneze so fans of gore will be pleased with this book. Fans waiting to find out what happened to the humans in Darren's life won't be disappointed either as we learn more about what happened to them.

While somewhat predictable, Allies of the Night ties up a lot of loose ends and moves us forward to an inevitable clash between vampires, vampaneze and humans.

Another good, page-turning read for Cirque fans.
