Werewolves and Demons and Blood. Oh my!

This is the first in a series called the Demonata series. I rented this from my local library and I'm so glad I did. It was awesomely creepy! I scare very easily, so I'm not sure why I like to torture myself so much. Regardless, this book did the trick and I was hooked from the first page. It was fast paced and never boring, so I kept reading and reading until I realized I had finished the book. It's also pretty thin. If you have an extremely vivid imagination, or don't like to read about gruesome things, then you may want to shy away from this book.

But if you're like me, then read away. I would honestly suggest this book to someone who doesn't like to read (if they're of age for this kind of bloody/gory stuff) and I almost guarantee they won't be able to put this book down. There are certain parts that are actually funny, and there are also some parts that don't seem to connect with each other, but if you keep reading then everything magically clicks.

I think I'll stop there, because I don't want to give away any spoilers (even though this book is a bit old). I give this a 5 out of 5. Loved the guts and blood and gore! Darren Shan, you have a new fan.
