• Harkat fan art

"Name... not Lefty. Name... Harkat... Harkat Mulds."

That's one of my favourite lines from any of my books, for the impact that it had on readers, and also the way I just seemed to casually drop it upon them -- I don't think any reader of the first three books was expecting THAT twist, at that particular point of the story. It hails, of course, from Vampire Mountain, the fourth book of my Saga Of Darren Shan / Cirque Du Freak series, and captures the moment when a previously silent and apparently inconsequential Little Person finally broke cover and started to reveal himself to be a major player in Darren's long and convoluted story. I've been sent a lot of cool fan art of Harkat over the years, and this one, by a fan called Adam, is right up there with the best of them in my opinion. Enjoy!

    Sorry. Let me rephrase that.

    "En... joy!"
