“I just won’t give it to them.” Ember ssid to her as she put it away.

“Oh, I can take it back then,” she said not wanting to burden her with anything else

“Would you want them to see it?” Ember asked.

“I don’t know,” she sighed. “Do you want to see it?”

“It’s your personal things, and I think they should be kept with you.”

“Okay then,” she nodded. She held out her hand waiting for her to give it back to her.

Ember smiled weakly to her as she handed her phone back to her.

She stuck her phone in her back pocket.
“Thanks,” she said and then turned around to leave.

Ember watched her leaving feeling helpless simce she knew there was nothing she could do. She sucked a making people feel better so this was beyound her grasp.

She had left the mall and walked along the train tracks. It was night so not a whole lot of people were out and about. She walked beside the tracks away from the station so no one would be around when it happened. The train came when she had predicted it would. She had stepped directly in the train tracks and felt the cold air rush towards her as the train was racing forward. She saw the train’s bright headlight and closed her eyes before….smash.

Ember didn’t think she’d do it right then so suddenly. She was going to tell someome but it was too late by then. Her friend had died almost right after she had told her she was going to.

She had to do it right then, before she changed her mind. It needed to be sudden, a death she couldn’t come back from. The world kept turning, it wasn’t going to stop for just one person. People moved on with their lives and forgot about that girl who had caused the train station to close for a few days. No one cared, the world moved on.

Ember always cared and though about it for a long long time. She had gone on to life her life happily but she wouldn’t ever forget her friend even if others did.

Ember and her boyfriend had gotten married in the end and led happy lives.
