I was expecting the further adventure of Grubbs and Dervish, but this one is, if anything, even better - a superb tale of Druids and Demons, a first-person tale by Bec, the untrained magician, and a cataclysmic, terrific ending. First class. Elevates Shan to the Stephen King level.
