I love Steven King books. I have at least 20+ on top of my wardrobes and I know thats only a small chunk of his work. I have an embarressing phobia of clowns, long story but I got spooked by them as a child and I have It sitting on top of my wardrobe at the back and I still haven’t got the courage to read it, I mean it took all my courage just to buy it with a front cover like that! I’m sure one day i’ll work myself up to it but at the moment I don’t think I could do it!

But I love long books. Length never puts me off, I love a challenge. I also think once your into the story you don’t want it to end so a good solid length is mostly a plus for me.

Yeah I feel the same away about long books :) You should read it, it’s epic. I never really find horror books actually scary….just cool. IT is way worth the read, but my girlfriend read it to, and says thats where her Phobia of clowns came from :lol:  so maybe you would not like it…still great story!

My dad owns all of them but i have not read any yet need to though

Ok its official PEOPLE you all need to read Steven King!  :P ....Dont take my word for it, ask the other Darren himself! He’s a fan too.

Hmmm well maybe Carrie, or Misery? Their both preety short to start off on, because a lot of King books can be very long. But their both preety good reads!

Oh but i love to read really long books hahaha :P

Then go for IT. Ohh the Dark tower series is epic as well, ever hear of it???

Ohh no try Salem’s Lot or Needful things. My two top favourites! They’re so timeless, each time I read them I long to live in suburbia America. It’s such a strange thing!

Yup! Lani is correct, their both brilliant as well, especialy Salems lot!.

That’s great, i’ve never met anyone whose read Needful Things! Did you not just think it was such an original idea?

Yeah It was a brilliant book, and original! I wish I had a shop like that :P Have you ever read any of the short storys he published? Like the mist?

how was Salem’s Lot i might start with that or the other one i just read the inside flap of Needful Things it sound good but is it????
