I have just finished your new book it was Brill. I was just reading your “About Darren” page on your Site and noticed your Girl Friend is named “Bas”. In “The Thin Excutioner” Jebels Firend or later becomes his wife is too named “Bas”. My Question is did you name the Character after your Girlfriend or was it by accident?

Im a massive Fan and am very Nosy.

An Act Of Pure Love And Compassion Some Would Say!

I thought it was cool in the dedication of this book he wrote “To Jebel Rum’s beloved”, unlike all of his other books when he would write “Bas”. This clued me in that Jebel would choose Bas instead of Debbat, but I still think it was cool!

Darren sees and knows all. It’s an old quote he used to say on here.

It’s obvious. As soon as I knew that his girlfriend was named Bas it was easy to figure it out.
