why is the movie so far off from book?

why is the movie(cirque du freak the vampires assistant)so far off from the movie?is it, A:they haven’t read the books or B:they decided to make it different?you guys decide.

According to Darren its a stand alone whereas they used his characters and bits of the storyline to make a film.

Everyone! the reason the mivie is so far off from the book is beacuse Mr.shan Didnt direct it. Someone should have let him be a part of the production of the movie. (go daran shan FAns)

I think Darren chose not to be part of the production. I don’t blame him. While it might have been better if he was, if I were him and the movie still tanked, I wouldn’t want to be associated with it. I mean look what happened with The Last Airbender, and the creators of the original Avatar the Last Airbender cartoon series were part of the production.

Yeah, that’s Hollywood for you. Although there are a few exceptions where the movie lives up to the book it’s following… At least in my opinion.
