Who thinks that there should be a SOLC movie. It might even be better than the CDF movie. Express your feelings:)

I think a movie about Larten would be great but who could play him? who could fit his personality and looks o create him. I think it would ruin peoples idea of him.

It would be great if there was a SOLC movie,as long as it followed the books. If they do make one,I just hope it’s better than the CDF one.

That is what I think as well but how long of a movie would that be?

I would love it if they made a SOLC movie. They would have to follow the books. I wouldnt want them to ruin it though. The CDF movie was kind of bad.

If the CDF movie is any indication about how the rest of Darren’s books-turned-movies are gonna turn out, we’re better off without it.

A Saga of Larten Crepsley movie would be far easier than a Cirque du Freak movie, with fewer books to follow up. It would allow for 4 movies to be made, each taking a great amount of time and care to create a worthy adaption. I think a great director for the job would be David Fincher.

I think it would be good but the character of larten would have to be perfect. but wouldn’t the dates would jump about a bit as through half of it he is a child then he’s an adult in book 1, only people who had read the book would really understand it, for people who have never read a Darren Shan book probably wouldn’t get it. but the other 3 books would as he is mostly the same age.

Nothing that can’t be solved with a simple explanation that Vampires age slower than humans. Also getting an actor for Larten as a kid and an adult.

I like the idea but as many of said it would have to follow the books. I liked Cirque Du Freak the movie untill I read the books and it got under my skin with the amount of stuff that was changed. I know you have to change somethings but to invent characters who where never in the books is annoying to me. It is just the fact they changed stuff that was key to the story like Darren would never have given in to feeding on a human like that, taking his family hostage, letting the cat out of the bag for Steve being the Vampaneze Lord that early in the story, It was suppost to cover the first three books yet they is nothing from book three other than Murlough being there. In the film Crepsley takes Darren streight to the camp where was all the unhappy wondering that sets up Darren not being thrilled about being a vampire. And did we really need Crepsley having a girlfriend? That is a few of the reasons who I did not like the film after reading the books there is plenty more.

So If they chose to do a film on Crepsley it would have to be done better than what they did for CDF

I really don’t think they should do a film adaption of SOLC. Hollywood would just screw it up anyway.

I think we would be better off without one. SOLC isn’t a story that can reach new fans, it gets all of its fans from CDF. How many of us can say that we read SOLC before CDF but still enjoyed it in full? I’m sure the VAST majority of us only read it because of CDF. If CDF didn’t have a big enough fan base to justify a big budget/good movie, then how could it’s spin off series be any better? I just can’t see an SOLC movie turning out any good. :/

I would not mind one but to be honest I don;t want them to mess it up like they did CDF . If they can not do any better I prefer it be left alone.
