I hope there are but the film was nothing compared to the books. I hope they make anouther but follow the plot more, although i think they have made that nearly impossible now. :s
But if you didn’t read the book i think you would find the film very interesting.

I know the books were pretty awesome. I was upset when Mr. Crepsley died. I watched the movie first, then I read the books. I thought they did a good job of choosing Mr. Crepsley for the movie.
It would be awesome if a second movie was made, because I really liked it. If you compare it to the books though, not that great. The movie can’t compete with the books. End of story.
I actually enjoyed the film, I thought it was quirky. Remember that with all these types of films, it is an adaptation of the book, not the book being acted out on screen word for word. I think there were some points they could have improved upon but overall I thought it was decent.
Really? I thought the main plot line from Cirque was definitely still there, with the death faking and the spider stealing etc etc. I noticed bits of the film were taken from the Vampire’s Assistant but I don’t now remember which parts.
Unfortunately with film adaptations of books it is exactly those, small key details that make the story come alive, that are inevitably left out. In order to preserve the main story, fit it into a 2 hour film and still keep it interesting, a lot has to be cut out. I found myself explaining key background story in all of the Harry Potter films I watched with my parents when I was younger, as they had left so much out in some cases someone who hadn’t read the books had no idea why people were doing various things.
i agree with danny, they should re-do it, i did like it though, and some of the bits in that film i really didnt get.. but it would be nice to have a sequal !
I actually loved the film, but then I went into it knowing it was an adaptation of three books, not just one and as such was goingto have a lot missing and things might happen in a strange order. I thought Crepsley was incredible, not at all as I had imagined him for the last decade, but certainly likeable and believeable. And yeah, I was much more pleased than I expected to be.
Oh yeah! i just saw somwthing on youtube. it might be a load of bull plop but apparently they are intending to make a sequal and its going to be called “cirque du freak:Trials of death” based on book 5 in the series. And by the way the first movie was done, it will hav the plots from 3 books in the movies each time. but like i say sometimes youtube lies
I would sort of like to see a sequel, because I liked the first one so much. But… sequels can be very good or very bad so maybe it wouldn’t be the smartest move.
