I know it’s wrong to think this way but Wester was looking out for the clan and Larten. I think his way of thinking was ‘If 1 life can save the lives of thousands so be it’ Larten knew Wester since way before Alicia and they weren’t friends they were brothers…

i feel bad for him becuse of the horrible shiz he has gone through, first off he was told he was evil. evil and he was what ten, twelve. then he was , dened by a vampire and he basicly worsiped, then betraed by his best friend ( he though so at lest and really can you see where he got that from?) and ext. so i am defending him do you?

The Final Twist spoilers

I absolutely loved the entire series, and especially Brothers to the Death, so before we start I want to make that clear.
When I was reading it though, I kind of guessed Larten and Wester would have a face off though - obviously I didn’t know the reasons that would draw them to their conclusion.

Firstly the title seemed similar to Sons of Destiny so I firstly thought that there’d be a Darren/Steve take on it.
Mainly though when I was reading the book, we came across so many characters that we know from the Saga of Darren Shan, and I just started thinking to myself: “Wester’s the only one we don’t know…he must die.”

I know, it’s a tiny thing.
But I’m just getting my opinion out there.
Maybe we could have had some more Vampires that we never meet again, simply because they’re in hiding?
